The farm buildings form a U-shape around a big lime tree ("le tilleul" in French) and the old farmyard. On one side is "The Barn", which sleeps six plus a baby. Opposite is the main farmhouse, and perpendicular to the farmhouse is "La Maison de Grand-Mère", which sleeps four. | |
| | | | | | | | | Although Le Tilleul is in a very rural area, shopping is not a problem. A baker's van calls daily, and a "charcuterie" van and a butcher's van call weekly. The local "boulangerie" is about a mile away. If you follow the "yellow brick road" (actually a gravel track, but the name has stuck!) which runs along the edge of Le Tilleul's field, the boulangerie is an easy, car-free walk or cycle. And look and listen out for hares, deer, lizards, hen-harriers and hoopoes along the way! | | ![Le Tilleul garden [click to enlarge]](../../../clients/tilleul/photos/tilleul_011_.jpg) | |
